Jo has been practicing Iyengar yoga for 20 years and has been teaching for four. She undertook teacher training with Darrin McNally at the Kensington School of Yoga and currently holds an Introductory Level 2 certificate.

Jo found yoga in her late 30s when she was working 30 hours a week, had two young children and was living in the chaos of a home being renovated. The time spent on the yoga mat provided a breather from the demands of family and work; she discovered that far from being a wholly physical practice, yoga brought calmness, perspective and an inner strength that allowed her to live a healthier, happier life.

Jo still works, her children have survived to adulthood (thanks to their mother’s yoga practice) and the house is finished (almost). Yoga will always be a part of her life, it is as vital to her as food, drink and sleep.

“Yoga has challenged and supported me, and I couldn’t imagine not having a practice. When I teach, I want my students to also feel the joy and benefits that yoga can bring to their life.”
