Yoga is great for everybody – especially teenagers.

Our Yoga for Teens classes help our youth deal with stress, improve learning and sustain healthy personal and social wellbeing. Yoga is a tool that they can use to help regulate themselves, in turn developing resilience and boost self-esteem.

In our classes for teenagers we cover many aspects of yoga throughout the four terms of the year, including:
Deep restorative postures and sequences to renew energy levels, bring steadiness, and soothe the nervous system.
Focused and dynamic standing poses to energise and strengthen and bring balance and flexibility for sporting activities.
Gentle, flowing sequences, balancing’s and inversions, (such as handstands), to get the blood moving and increase concentration and balance mood.

Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation), Meditations and sitting postures, to let go of stresses, gain self-awareness and develop a grounded and centred sense of Self.

The sequence of postures are suitable for those with no yoga experience and want to improve strength and balance, as well as for active people wishing to improve flexibility and bring balance to their sporting activities. The classes are designed to both support and energise young people.

Taught in the calm and supportive studio atmosphere at Unfold Yoga + Wellbeing, students are able to arrive from 4:00pm, with facilities available to change in to your yoga gear.

Bookings for the whole term are required, unless starting mid-way through the term, which is welcomed.

I enjoy the lessons at unfold yoga because they are fun and challenging at the same time. It isn’t too difficult and complicated which makes it fun and challenging to do and our teacher never pushed us too far with any of the pose’s. It is a great way to exercise without having to go to the gym and get all sweaty and it is suitable for I believe ages from 11 to 16 years.
